So yesterday we took the day off and went tubing down the Current River near Van Buren, MO for about 3 hours. Very nice day to just lazily float around. I got a cadillac type tube at The Landing, which has some canvas wrapped around it and made it a bit more comfy.

Passed a sign for Laura Ingles Wilder's Little House On the Prarie home, which I would have bet was in Kansas. Also passed some Amish folks with their horsedrawn buggies clip clopping down the highway.

Sounds like a great way to spend the day. When I lived in CO we tubed very frequently. There was a small river running through town, and we would go in groups and make a day of it. I miss that :)

It's her house that she moved into when she began writing the Little House books when she got older. And Van Buren. I lived there once, it's a gorgeous area.

I agree, it's gorgeous. Green rolling hills, pine trees, barns an hay bales, plus a pretty river to play on and a National Forest.
