My car sustained water damage in the Greenway Plaza GARAGE where I work as water got high enough to come through the floorboards. No fricking notice from building security that the garage was flooding, so I guess I'll be going home everytime there is a flood warning and heavy rain.
It's getting some loving this morning from the Car Butler but if the interior gets smelly I may have to file a claim and get it replaced.
Grrrr.
I ended up at the Fountains last night eating at the Texas Land and Cattle restaurant and then seeing the Matrix as all routes home were closed off due to high water.
I'm in a bad mood due to all of this, mainly for the water damage to the Mustang that was preventable if the building management had let us know the garage was starting to flood.

oh no! I park under Greenway 5 and when I was sent home at 2:30 water was coming in the access tunnel. I called back to the office to let everyone know. Email this morning showed they waited a whole hour to send notice that people could move thier car but nothing about how bad it was. Yikes!!!

The parking lot where I work started to flood. I was lucked out in actually parking in a high spot - especially since that wasn't planned. Some cars nearby did get water inside though.

My dad said the computer in your car should be okay because it's located higher up and not under the seat.

I strongly suggest having the carpet removed and the padding replaced. Once carpet padding gets wet, it's never quite the same again. Plus, it will probably smell funky.

If in doubt, file an insurance claim.

The flooboards didn't get totally wet, just patches of them. I managed to dry it out pretty well last night, and Car Butler is totally rocking. They have a big dryer thing they are using. I'm inclined to see how it looks this evening before filing a claim, but I'll call and look into it today.

Care to see Catch Me If You Can today or tommorrow after work? I got a free rental from the Car Butler place.

Can't do it today. Everything has gone wrong and/or backwards. I'll probably be here a bit late and then I have to hit the grocery store.

Put me down for a "maybe" on tomorrow.

That sucks. We didn't have any flooding here, that I know of anyway. People at work were worried about a tornado, but one never materialized. Good luck getting the car dried out. Wet carpet can turn into smelly carpet in no time.
