So last night I went to Fado's to try to get in on the poker game they have there every Monday night, but I got there too late and it had already filled up. Since I had already paid to park I went roaming around the 4th to 6th Street area. It's a big change walking around there on a Monday night when there isn't much crowd. I watched a bit of the Astro's game on the tube at B.D. Riley's and then went over next door to Friends once they started playing blues there. The blues band was pretty good, and the female guitar player could really play. I didn't care for the piano sythenthiser the guy was using. I prefer it to be more piano like when they play, not a pipe organ type thingy all night. I watched the blues for a bit and then went back to the car, stopping at Trulucks to try some of their lobster bisque. Unforutnately it didn't hold a candle to Pappa's lobster bisque. Nothing like booze and blues to make you reminisce about things.
Prior to that I had watched America's Sweethearts on TV at the house. Interesting movie, I like John Cusack. Him and Julia Roberts made a cute couple.
