Wizard People, Dear Readers, (the MST3K-ing of Harry Potter 1) was laugh out loud funny, I was cracking out throughout most of the movie, and so was the rest of the audience. I'm a tough crowd and don't laugh easily, so that should tell you something. I was accompanied by Amanda, who was my date for the evening, and although we hit it off as friends there wasn't any chemistry there on either side. It was fun none-the-less.
I wish I could have made the showing and got to go to the austinbooknerd discussion group, but they were at the same time.
The Alamo downtown was pretty cool, and they had a funny kung-fu movie playing before the main show. Even though we got there 40 minutes early, we still ended up in the last third of the line to get in. Everyone in the line had pre bought tickets just like us. We did get decent seats though.
