Wow. Just Wow. I have post tramatic sin city disorder right now. That is one of the most beautifully violent films I've ever seen. I feel entertained, yet somehow a bit dirtier.
Definately pushing the boundary of the R rating system. Beautiful cinematography. Nice scoring too. I may even see this movie again at the theatre, so no greater praise than that from me.
If you're a fan of noir this is going to be a holy grail movie for ya.

Yes, yes and yes. Most definitely.

Sin City was an awesome experience. Beautifully violent, and completely amoral and twisted, but in a very cool way. I'm definitely seeing it again. :)

okay, here's my girly question- bloodier than Kill Bill Vol 1? That I could handle, but only just... I REALLY wanna see Sin City because I love the noir-ish look, but am I gonna vomit and/or be disturbed?

It's bloody, but because the film is in black and white with only the occasional flash of color, it's not nearly as "Eeew! Gross!" inducing as you might think. And the parts that should be disturbing end up being not that bad. I flinched a few times, but no....I don't think you'll have a problem if you could handle Kill Bill. :)

It's just violent in a different way. Kill Bill was kinda kung fu unbelievable violent. It was so over the top it didn't bother me.
Because Sin City was much more believably violent it bugged me a bit more. I'd put it a between Saving Private Ryan and Kill Bill.
