Cooking class at Rita's Kitchen was very fun. I got to make and try some of that curry stuff I hear KageNeko talking about eating every so often. It's good, but a pain in the butt to make. All that cooking, I'd rather make a good gumbo.

I'm probably going down to Nederland this weekend to survey the damage, and help check on Neal's dad. Still no power or water down there, but estimates are they should be back up and running in another week or two.

The weekend after that I'm heading to Washington DC to get debriefed on our NPS Business plan stuff. I've never been to DC so it should be a nice trip to see some monuments and stuff. I'll be careful.

I've met with E&J Gallo folks recruiting, and some folks from the Thomson company. Nice places, although I'd much rather live in Modesto californina than in minnesota. burr.

Our Au Pair is going back home this week and we are getting a new one soon. Should be an intersting change.
My grandma is still a pain in the rear, even though we all love her. She seems to think that her getting her tea on time constitutes a basic human right and when it doesn't happen she is being repressed.

I have misplaced my cell phone. Needless to say I haven't seen it for a few days, so if you want to reach me by phone you've been out of luck. I need to find it tomorrow. Tomorrow I can mow the grass since it won't induce heat stroke like it would have a few days ago.
From being around 105 to mid 70's is a big change, but it's nice.

So THAT'S why you didn't answer. (smile) Your voicemail picked up right off, which meant your battery was probably dead, so no calling from another phone and seeing if you could hear it ring. Hope you can get it replaced fuss-free. I lost mine once and found it the day after I got it replaced. Bah.

Anyway, have fun in D.C.! I was there a few years ago and it was pretty neat. Did you know that the guy that was responsible for the Vietnam Wall did it for a class project at Harvard and he only got a B on it? At least that's what our driver said.
