Woot! This makes three in a row for me. The cut-off for being in the money was 63rd, so I played real conservately to make sure to get in the money there at the end. My pocket 5's didn't hold up against pocket aces in the last hand. I was short stacked relatively, so it was an aggressive move that didn't pay off.
There will be a real life poker game on Monday at the Student Union for prizes, so I may go and play there. I probably won't do as well in person, cause I probably don't have the best poker face, and I'm not as patient when I can't do my reading for class during the downtime when I don't have anything worth playing. Since alot of my readings are electronic, I can read my chapters for next week while playing, so that makes it semi-productive to play and not just entertainment.
In other school news, I attended the IBM Consulting presentation on Thursday and it was fairly interesting, but they are quite a stuffy bunch. The main presenter reminded me of Doug from Trading Spaces. I think it's kinda weird to be interviewing for jobs that start after graduation so early, but it's what you gotta do.
I'm going to play board games tomorrow with the SVA group. (Single Volunteers of Austin) depending on how it conflicts with my Guest Dinner.
I played Thursday night with the RPG group, and it's kinda too big. Alot more chatting than playing going on, but we'll see if it improves.
