These are my ten favorite pics with me! Don't worry, it's my one big pic entry. I'll mostly be posting a few more individual pics as I write up the associated stories.

Hanging with Nelson Mandela Hanging with Nelson Mandela

At Noble (Peace Prize) Square at the V&A Waterfront in Capetown, South Africa.
Winelands Winelands

We made a trip up to the winelands region near Cape Town and had some really bad wine at a few places. Most of the winery places just opened up a few years ago, and this was some of their first batches, which also had
been beset with problems with a bad grape year due to some misc. problems drought/grape plague. It was very pretty, but I didn't buy any wine.
Big Shaun on Table Mountain Big Shaun on Table Mountain

Table Mountain Table Mountain

Table Mountain that overlooks Cape Town. This was the side that looks over Haut Bay and the '12 apostles' mountains.

Yep. Everyone loves penguins. I regret that I didn't do a penguin stance (feet together and hands out by the waist.)

Awesome pictures, it looks so beautiful there. I love the ones of Table mountain, and the penguins are just too cute! Hope you had a great time there, although I bet it feels good to be home.

it's bizzare to think of PENGUINS in AFRICA...

Confused Kathleen

of course, i know enough about science to know that they do live in more temperate zones, it's just... bizarre, is all...

Subject: That's Nelson Mandela?

He always seems shorter than that.

And I know he's a person of color, but I've never seen a GREEN person.
