Yo Ho, Yo Ho, A Pirate's Life for Me........

So I saw Pirates of the Caribbean last night at the Alamo with Jessica. Great movie and a future camp classic, and one that I imagine will have great legs at the box office. It had everything a pirate movie should have: swashbuckling, swinging on ropes, rum, tavern wenches, beautiful tall ships, cannons blazing, undead pirates, attitude, swordfights, treasure, death, pillaging, a monkey and a parrot, plus a ton of comedy. I may go see it again myself sometime. The three male main characters were great! I especially liked Depp's Captain Jack Sparrow. Who knew he could be so funny? I also appreciate that the pirates were brutal as well as sometimes funny. We also dined on cheesecake and Amy's ice cream while watching the flick.

We also tootled around West Oaks mall for a bit before the movie. They closed the coffee shop and turned it into a hair salon. Boo. We watched Banzai! and a bit of Extreme Elimination Challenge! afterwards on TV. Good silly fun.

I made some yummy pork cutlets for brunch and I got some compliments from both Rilee and Jessica as they visited that day and had some.
So apparently I can still cook. Oh, and Ritz crackers in hot pork gravy is very tasty. I did some dishes, and played a bit of SWG too, so a nice relaxing day was had.

I'm feeling almost well. The antibiotics still leave me a bit fatigued, but other than that the cough is gone.

Edited to Add: Baton down the hatches mate! Hurricane C. is a blowing this way!
