My life seems to keep coming back to Chicago. It's odd, I had an interview for a college scholarship up there a few years ago, but I missed my plane. Now BP is thinking about sending me up there Friday for an interview.
I'll make sure to double check the ticket this time. It's no doubt 20 below zero or some other ungodly temperature in Chicago right now. Frelling heck I hate the cold.

Chicago! Probably a good sign.

Good luck on the interview. Would that mean you would be postponing and/or cancelling grad school? Just curious, because if the right job came along right now, I'd put grad school on hold.

The wind off the lake is brutal. Thermal underwear is a good investment, if you don't have some already. Good luck!

Chicago is a great city! And I can totally understand the deja vu of life seeming to point to one city -- that's how it was with me and Houston.

Good luck!

It never, ever gets that cold up in Chicago. I lived there for 10+ years. I used to take a commuter train, then walk 1o-15 blocks to work most everyday for three years. I'd occasionally cab that distance if it was snowing or raining hard, but that happens less often than you'd think.

All you need is a good wool or leather winter coat, and some transit maps. New York it isn't. =P

Well, after ten-some years, I'd probably adjust to the weather too. :-p As someone who wasn't acclimated to the weather, however, and used to Houston's environ, Chicago around the lake was hellish cold in December. If you're used to colder weather, though, it probably isn't such a big deal. I know I was praying for thermal underwear when I was there, though.
